Brazil Fest @ The Queen Victoria Market – 2 Nov 2024 – 10 am to 4 pm
At ABRISA – the Brazilian Association for Social Development and Integration in Victoria, Australia – we are pleased to announce that we have managed to secure a prestigious event location to run, once again, our annual cultural celebration, which has been renamed as “Brazil Fest at QVM” and will be held on 2 November 2024.
Our aim is to showcase to Victorians the diversity of Brazilian culture through food, music and dance. Moreover, we envision this event to be an intercultural activity with the participation of several communities. Nowadays, Brazilian traders and performers are invited to a wide range of festivals, and we believe that sharing the stage with other cultures will be an important feature of our festival.
Brazil is a country of many migrant communities, starting with our own First Nations Tupi-Guarani tribes, joined by the Portuguese, Angolan, Ivory Coast and peoples from countries such as Germany, Japan, Lebanon, Korea, Italy, Spain, among many others.
