Alba’s Chliakhtine was born in Brazil and has been calling Australia home since 1988. in 2002 she commenced her voluntary work in the culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) sector by supporting the establishment of the ABRISA- Brazilian Association in Melbourne.

Robert is an experienced IT Manager and has been ABRISA’s Public Officer since May 2014. Additionally, Robert has assisted with Website Design and Event Management from the early days of ABRISA.
Renata was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and has been calling Australia home since 1998. Renata took the leadership for implementing Cultura Brasileira, our Portuguese School recently achieving its Accreditation milestone early 2017. In addition, Renata has become the first Brazilian to be a Justice of the Peace in Victoria.
Lily was born in Rio de Janeiro and grew up in Brasilia. For 12 years, she was a tourist guide in Bahia and has been calling Australia home since 2007. Lily has been our principal Events Coordinator and is currently undertaking a Diploma in Community Services.

Marcos Matsubara, a Brazilian from São Paulo who arrived in Geelong 1996 from the UK. He took the leadership to develop the Geelong chapter of the ABRISA association to support all the new brazilians in the area and provide social events and opportunities.
Dayse is from Minas Gerais and has called Australia home since 2000. Dayse is in the financial/Insurance area acting as a customer service manager. Dayse has been working as a volunteer for the Adult Portuguese classes and has painting as hobby.

Paula is originally from São Paulo and since arriving in 2016, has been actively involved with ABRISA. As a qualified bilingual teacher back in Brazil, Paula started off volunteering within ABRISA Cultura Brasileira before taking up a position as a Portuguese teacher within the school, as well as assisting with pedagogical co-ordination. Paula is currently the Child Safety Officer for the children’s school.
Melissa é jornalista, especializada em beleza e cabelo. Trabalhou em vários países na América Latina e adora conhecer outras culturas, bem como cozinhar e fazer aulas de Zumba. Com ascendência uruguaia, Melissa é casada com um brasileiro e fez aulas na ABRISA para aprender português!.
Sava Hoffmann is a qualified Brazilian lawyer with progressive experience in the Public Infrastructure Project field. After being part of the Legal Team of the Brazilian Development Bank – BNDES, she migrated to Melbourne in 2016 and has joined ABRISA as a volunteer to support projects where government policy and services impact our community.
